Is the DJ low key or highly interactive?

We give you a Fun and Elegant Evening with the proper interaction, we use music as the main key to your event, playing the right music is instrumental to every event, those key songs will allow us to interact with your guests. 

Plus during our final phone meeting we'll go over all the details including music and some tips emphasizing on how to create that engaging magic to make sure your dance floor keeps full all throughout the night. 

 

Are you insured?

Every responsible business should carry liability insurance; Sound Wave Mobile DJ Service is carries general liability insurance.

 

Can you provide a Written Contract?

It's very important to have your date confirmed in writing. Sound Wave provides a written contract for every event.

 

How long do we have to before we sign the Contract?

Because this is a sole proprietor business, Events are booked and Contracts are signed on a First Come First Serve Basis, once the contract has been emailed you to you, there's a 3 day turn around.

 

Can we see you in action?

Although we would love to show what we do at events, I like to put in your perspective the following: How would you feel if I took someone to your wedding? The answer 100% of the time is that you would not feel comfortable.

It also becomes a liability for The Guests of Honor, The Venue and The DJ, including you.

Do you act as a Master of Ceremony?

For Weddings it's included in our packages, we will make all appropriate announcements and keep everything going smoothly. We also offer this service for other formal events.

 

Do you use professional equipment?

Sound Wave prides itself on carrying state-of-art DJ commercial grade equipment from a variety of reputable companies.

 

What kind of music do you play?

We're an Open Format DJ Company, we cater and play a wide variety of music styles dating to the  1940's to todays releases in all formats and genres in the English Language.

 

What time do you setup?

We arrive at least 2 Hours prior to the event, in order to check the sound and make sure everything is in order and give you and your guests the best time possible.

 

Do you have a travel and setup fee?

Most packages already include setup and breakdown fees, there are exception such as if your event is the San Francisco, Monterey, Carmel, Napa, Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz(Capitola and Soquel included) areas a Travel and Setup fee will be added, or if your event requires a lengthy setup due to stairs etc…

 

How will the DJ be dressed?

The DJ will be dressed appropriately for your event, for Weddings a stylish elegant suit will always be worn.

 

Do we have to provide a meal for the DJ?

We do require a meal for the DJ and Assistant at every event as we spend in average at least 12-14 years between travel, setup, event and breakdown times

 

Do we have to tip the DJ?

No it’s not necessary, but if the DJ did an excellent Job, then Gratuity is encouraged. The Normal gratuity is 10% - 15%.
